 | Wind Turbines Wind turbines are manufactured in various sizes, ranging from 1 kW up to 6 kW. Spartan Power install high quality and reliable wind turbines for domestic & commercial uses. Roof mounted turbines usually produce 1 kW of power and can reduce the an average annual electricity bill by up to 30%. The UK is ideal for wind energy, due to the large proportion of total wind energy the country gets compared to the rest of Europe. Government grants are available for installation of wind turbines, Spartan Power can offer advice on this. |
 | Solar Power There are 2 types of solar power we offer, solar hot water and solar electricity. Solar hot water is a system used to reduce the power needed to heat water by your boiler, gas or electric. The water is heated in the solar panel, commonly know as a flat plate collector. The water is pumped through the panel and back into the storage vessel, where the heat is transferred into the hot water you use. Any further heating of the water is made by the boiler system. To produce electricity, photovoltaic panels can be installed. There is no minimum or maximum to the number of panels that can be installed, every bit of electricity produced helps towards being carbon neutral. |
